Gala of the Monegasque Red Cross with Philippe PASTOR » PACA’s economic and political newsletter
Created in 1948 by Prince Louis II, the Monegasque Red Cross was recognized the same year by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
It is one of the 192 national societies of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and respects its seven fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, universality.
The Monegasque Red Cross’ mission is to save lives and prepare the population for disasters, to support all people in need without discrimination, and to carry out humanitarian awareness and prevention actions. It acts both nationally and internationally.
In parallel, for more than 30 years, an art collection of works by international artists has been created, illustrating the values of the CRM.
Among the artists in the collection we find, among others, Moretti, Arman, César, Velickovic, Paul Jenkins, Jean Miotte, Jean Daniel Lorieux, François Arnal, Bernard Rancillac, Peter Klasen, Sosno, Nall, Adami, Damien Hirst, Arnaldo Pomodoro , Archiguille, Folon, Ernest Pignon Ernest, Davide Benati, Roberto Barni, Manolo Valdez, Mimo Paladino, Jean-Michel Othoniel…
This year the artist Philippe Pastor will enrich this fabulous collection with his emblematic work: Les Arbres Brûlés.
