Haute-Garonne: one seriously injured and the highway cut north of Toulouse after an accident
The emergency services intervened following a road accident on the Montauban-Toulouse motorway axis on Tuesday 19 July. Traffic is blocked.
A driver was seriously injured on Tuesday July 19 at the end of the afternoon on the Bordeaux-Toulouse motorway, town of Villeneuve-les-Bouloc, north of Toulouse.
Firefighters were alerted at 6:05 p.m. following an accident. For some unknown reason, a driver heading towards Toulouse lost control of his car, which spun and hit the guardrails several times before coming to a stop.
The firefighters and a team from Smur 31 intervened. The victim was taken care of and evacuated to the emergency department of Purpan hospital in Toulouse. His vital prognosis would be engaged.
To allow the intervention of rescue teams, the motorway was blocked in the Bordeaux-Toulouse direction. A compulsory outing has even been set up in Tarn-et-Garonne. Currently, nearly 4 kilometers of traffic jams are observed on site.
Traffic should resume at the start of the evening, but slowdowns are to be expected, in particular the time for the Vinci Autoroute teams to clean the roads and repair the disinfectants on the safety strippers.
