You’ve probably noticed it when you’re filling up your car’s gas tank. In many European countries, prices have even reached historic highs fueled by rising crude prices. However, one question continues to arouse curiosity, what is the price per barrel of oil ?
Rising almost constantly since December 2021, the barrel price is now stable around $100, measured exactly at $103.60 this Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

A decrease in ephemeral prices
In Luxembourg, a significant drop was announced for Saturday July 16, 2022. Indeed, in detail, unleaded 95 offered a drop in its price per liter of 3.8 cents, which reduced its priced at 1,724 euros, the unleaded 98 went below two euros at a rapid 1,955 € per litre. Concerning the diesel, it had fallen only very little, however its liter cost 1,828 €.
But good things never last long, since this Monday, July 18, a new increase was announced. And no fuel was spared. Indeed, unleaded 95 was increased by 0.008 cents, while unleaded 98 increased by 0.003 cents. Regarding diesel, it shows the biggest increase, with a difference of 0.034 cents with the price displayed on Saturday July 16.
