ELA, CIM and UGT and the Spanish Union of Railway Engineers (Semaf) have summoned this Tuesday the workers of Metro Bilbao to support a new round of partial stoppages of 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.to demand progress in the negotiations of the collective agreement.
As in the previous demonstrations, the Basque Government has decreed some 30% minimum servicesalthough the circulation of trains could be greater depending on the possibilities, as the company has reported in a note.
The company, in its statement, has recommended users “plan the trip in advance to avoid unforeseen events” and has reported that the minimum guaranteed service schedule will be available on your website. The rest of the day, 100% of the service will be offered.
Likewise, the management maintains its schedule of meetings with the unions to negotiate the new agreement and “regrets the inconvenience” that these strikes may cause to the clientele.
In addition to this Tuesday, the new round of partial stoppages will be repeated this Thursdayalso in the time slots from 06:30 to 09:30 and from 18:30 to 21:30.
The last stoppages took place on Wednesday and Friday of last week and, according to the estimates of the management of the Bilbao underground, 22.1% of the employees with supported working hours took part.
Several additional trains allowed the company to “expand” the minimum services decreed by the Basque Government and there were no “incidents of any kind”.
