Azerbaijan’s natural gas supply can be an alternative to Russian energy
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson met with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev on Monday and confirmed the already complete energy cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan.

“Today, with this new memorandum of understanding, we are opening a new chapter in our energy cooperation with Azerbaijan, a key partner in our power plants to move away from Russian fossil fuels.
