“The idea is really to have a good time, whether you are a reader or not,” insists the 30-year-old.
A little coconut
A former medical secretary, Élodie did everything to make Plume et Café look like her. “I wanted to create a friendly place,” she explains. I think it’s quite successful. »
“I’ve always had a book in my hands… I wanted to do a job related to this passion so I decided to take the plunge and embark on this adventure. »
Cozy and uncluttered, the decoration of the shop takes effect when you walk through the door. The small reading corner arranged around a green wall is also a great success with customers. “I haven’t really had the opportunity to land in this corner and I must say that it’s quite nice,” laughs Élodie when posing for the traditional photo.

In addition to the possibility of enjoying gourmet drinks and pastries, the shop offers the possibility of leaving with one or more second-hand books. “There are hundreds of them, welcomes the Toulousaine. Paperbacks are €3 and large formats €6. There are also some new references. »
“Customers can deposit their old books to enrich the library. For my part, I buy books in batches, in clearance sales and others. The most important thing is that they are in good condition. »
” Like at home “
Since the opening, the sympathetic shop seems to find its clientele. “I think it’s like going home,” smiles Elodie. People stop, are intrigued by the place… I’m really happy! »
