AS Monaco continues its main recruitment with John Brown
The Principality club announces the arrival of the 30-year-old American strong winger for two seasons.
The Roca Team continues. After Elie Okobo and Jordan Loyd, without forgetting the extension of Mike James, Monaco formalizes the signing, for two seasons, of the strong American winger John Brown III. Aged 30, the interested party arrives on the Rock from Brescia, where he finished last season after having to leave Kazan. “Capable of scoring, John Brown is a real energizer on the pitch, renowned for being a big defender too“, we rejoice at the ASM. “Their journey (in the Euroleague) was a surprise for everyone, at least for the observerssays the neo-Monegasque of his new team. Not for the players of the team inside, but from the outside we did not expect to see a new team rubbing shoulders with the top level for its first participation in the Euroleague. And for them to have thwarted the predictions in this way, it’s beautiful. And I hope that this year we will reproduce that, and even more.”
And the native of Jacksonville, Florida to continue, about his ambitions: “Personally, I still want to improve, to overcome levels, and to do everything to leave a mark of me in Monaco. I’m not a guy who’s going to be flamboyant and score non-stop, and that’s not going to be my role. But I want to do all the things around it that will take us to victory. And collectively I want to win titles, like all of my teammates. I’ll do my job, and I’ll do anything to win“. That’s good, that’s exactly the idea of AS Monaco, beaten in the Betclic Elite final in 2022 by Asvel but who intends to aim for their first title in 2023. Other recruits are expected at Gaston-Medicine. We are talking in particular about Adrien Moerman (Efes Istanbul) and Yoan Makoundou (Cholet).
