Borisov: The government is good for GERB, bad for Bulgaria
“If the government is formed with the third mandate, it will be good for GERB, but it will be bad for the state.”
This is what the leader of the opposition party, Boyko Borisov, “calculated” during his next Saturday-Sunday appearance during his tours of the country.
“There is no one to support. GERB is the largest party, GERB is not strong,” Borissov submitted a request for early elections.
It was followed by its own “advertising minute”. Borisov pointed out to his sympathizers how many times he had pulled the country out of the crisis – COVID, migration. “But we have a soul too,” he complained. However, according to him, “We are continuing the change”, which practically depends on whether there will be a cabinet with the third mandate, he does not want to govern – because there is no gas and there was nowhere to get it.
“The PP don’t want the government, they are running away” – announced the leader of GERB and added that even the President Rumen Radev does not want to form an official cabinet – because of this legacy.
And again he painted an apocalyptic economic picture, taking advantage of the boasting of the Deputy Prime Minister and the outgoing Minister of Economy, Kornelia Ninova, who announced yesterday that there was a record growth in industrial production. According to him, it is not a question of real growth that would benefit the population, but one that is due to the amount of weapons because of the war in Ukraine. As is known, the amount has actually increased many times over, as Ninova justifies it by delaying requests for comments on arms deals due to the caretaker governments since last year. GERB, and not only, supports the thesis that the Bulgarian quantity eventually reaches Ukraine, despite Ninova’s requests that Bulgaria would not send a single cartridge. However, she herself was forced to state that the state does not know where the amount goes, only who the recipient is. What is this one doing with the weapons when it was none of her ministry’s business.
“Exports did not rise because of the amount of the real economy, but because of the amount of gasoline, grain and weapons,” stressed Borisov.
And additional:
“Inflation and fuels raise the bread, and VAT is not lacking”.
The last one was on the occasion of the decision of the rulers to remove the VAT for bread and flour, and Ninova boasted that even before the decision came into effect, the price of bread in the shops had already fallen. Which earns you ridicule – that it refers to promotions.
Borisov does not miss the subject of the gold bars, which came to light again after the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev sent an election letter to the MEP from the political family of GERB – EPP, which suggests that the European Parliament believes that after the five-year examination of the photos from ” Borisov’s bathroom”, they are manipulated. After the scandal broke out, Geshev was invited to the parliamentary committee on corruption, where he said nothing. But instead of this, the deputies of GERB “on the embrasure” launched another attack – the chief prosecutor to tell not about the bars, but about the video of the resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and the head of his office Lena Borislavova on a staircase, published by the so-called . . brown media, as well as a photo of the car in front of the Council of Ministers, again published there, with the text that Georgi Semerdzhiev, accused of the accident with two victims on Cherni Vrah Blvd., supplied Petkov and Borislavova with drugs.
“I have never had bullion. As long as Kiril Petkov, Lena Borislavova, the head of the parliament (now Miroslav Ivanov, Borislavova’s fiance) do not say that they were in that parliament for love… There is no conflict of interest here? Nothing else. this question is not asked, we from GERB will not give any other answers”, declared Borisov.
