Belgium in code orange from Monday, the peak of 40°C is not excluded
The weekend will be dry and sunny in Belgium, with a slight rise in temperatures on Sunday. But on Monday and Tuesday, the mercury could reach 40°C: Belgium is placed in code orange, according to the IRM.

LThe weather will be dry and sunny on Saturday with highs of 20 to 25 degrees. It will be a little warmer on Sunday, but it is Monday and especially Tuesday that the temperatures will rise. The heading of 40 degrees is not excluded, indicates the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). The latter issued an orange alert from Monday.
Saturday afternoon, the maximum temperatures vary between 20 and 22 degrees in the Ardennes and in the coastal region, and between 23 and 25 degrees in the other regions. The wind will be moderate from the north.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, a clear sky will bring temperatures down to between 6 and 14 degrees.
Sunday, the weather will be warm and sunny with a few cloudy veils. The maxima will vary between 24 and 26 degrees in the coastal region and in the Ardennes, and between 27 and 29 degrees in the other regions. The wind will generally be light.
Highs of 36 degrees are expected on Monday and up to 40 degrees on Tuesday.
