FC Annecy fans couldn’t wait for their team’s new home jersey, promoted to Ligue 2 for the 2022-2023 season, but that wait has just come to an end. This Friday, the Annecy club unveiled its new home tunic for the next exercise and it is obviously with a red component. But this time, the club’s historic color returns to the shirt, namely Garnet, which was used on the 1927 shirt.
Annecy writes in particular in his tweet: “Garnet for history, Red for the future.” We can also read in the press release: “This jersey, linking history and modernity, denotes with the previous ones in a search for originality but remains very anchored in the values and in the long history of FC Annecy. Another strong symbol on this jersey, the cross of Savoy at the top of the collar, in the back.
