Near Toulouse: firefighters come to the aid of a llama stuck at the bottom of a ditch

The intervention is rather unusual. Thursday, July 14, at midday, several firefighters intervened in the town of Odars, near Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, to help a llama.
The rescue has taken place road of the inhabitants where is installed breeding of this species of domestic camelid native to South America.
Stuck in a ditch
Alerted around 12:20 p.m., the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of Haute-Garonne dispatched a team specialized in animal risks.
Upon their arrival on site, the firefighters – from the fire and rescue centers of Montgiscard, Auteritive and Saint-Gaudens – discovered the animal stuck in the bottom of a ditch.
This is not a first!
After to have been strappedthe llama could have come out of this mess without sustaining injury. The operation also took place in the presence of a veterinary.
Note that this is not the first time that the Haute-Garonne firefighters have carried out such a rescue. Almost a year and a half ago, in February 2021, they had already been called to assist a lama who fell into a hole several meters high on the heights of Balma.
