French strong-winger Yoan Makoundou should continue his rise in France and discover the EuroLeague next season, under the colors of AS Monaco.
After announcing the extension of Mike James’ contract for the next two seasons, AS Monaco should soon expand its JFL base (locally trained players). If Adrien Moerman has given his agreement to join the Roca Team, another position 4 with JFL status should follow: Yann Makoundou (2.07m, 21 years old). Even if he caught the eye of Manresa, the strong winger of Cholet Basket should continue his progression in Betclic ÉLITE next season indicates West Francewhile discovering the EuroLeague.
In 2021-2022 at CB, this leaping and increasingly complete interior was turning in 10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists for 12.5 rating in 23 minutes. Within the Roca Team, he would share his playing time with Adrien Moerman and Jaron Blossomgame, or even other possible positions 3-4 (William Howard? Armel Traoré?) or 5-4.
AS Monaco’s 2022-2023 squad at the moment:
- Leaders: Mike James and Jordan Loyd
- Backs: Elie Okobo and Yakuba Ouattara
- Wingers: Alpha Diallo and Armel Traoré (?)
- Wingmen: Jaron Blossomgame, Adrien Moerman and Yoan Makoundou
- Pivots: John Brown III, Donatas Motiejunas and Donta Hall
