the retreating doctors called in reinforcement this summer to avoid an excess of tension
The Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Occitanie is appealing to retired general practitioners to provide replacements this summer.
It’s no secret: after two years of health crisis, the health sector is at the end of its tether.
In Toulouse this summer, the University Hospitals of Purpan and Rangueil only receive vital emergencies. Same scenario in the hospitals of Moissac and Castelsarrasin.
Patients are invited to turn to city medicine. But there too the means are lacking.
Many general practitioners, also on the front line of the pandemic for more than two years, are preparing to go on vacation without having found a replacement.
ARS Occitanie has therefore just launched a call for the mobilization of retired doctors.
The regional health agency is currently carrying out with the departmental orders of doctors and the URPS Doctors a precise inventory of the periods of availability of the structures and private practices in Occitanie.
Replacements are to be provided from August 1st. The objective is of course to ensure continuity of care in all the territories of the region.
This solidarity commitment is essential to maintain access to care in each of our territories, and thus collectively meet the challenge of continuity of care throughout our region throughout this summer period.
Each doctor will be recruited on the basis of a salaried contract combined employment and retirement. Specialist practitioners can make themselves known by email, by writing to the following address: [email protected]
