arrested in a stolen car… with €1,000 of stolen jewelry
This is called being in the wrong place at the wrong time… This Sunday, July 10, a man was arrested for the theft of a car and several jewels. The 27-year-old was spotted while patrolling the specialized field brigade in the center of Toulouse. It all started around 6:30 p.m., when the crew noticed a vehicle parked on the street in the Jolimont district.
One of the windows of this car is broken. But what particularly intrigues the police is the attitude of the man sitting on the driver’s side, who seems to sink into his seat at the sight of the police officers. They carry out a check.
A total amount of €1,000
“The individual was unable to provide any document relating to the car,” a police source told AFP. The Independent Opinion. And for good reason, the vehicle turns out to be a car stolen in Toulouse at the end of May. In the back seat, the police also spot jewelry, neatly packaged and visibly new.
Asked about their provenance, the man, already known to the police, was unable to explain why he was in possession of these jewels, the total amount of which is revealed at €1,000. Police are now searching for the owners of the items while the man is determined to recover the stolen vehicle and jewelry.
