Warsaw: an Egyptian woman who was mummified in action probably suffered from cancer – Historia
In 2016, the same experts found that the mummy attributed to the priest Hor-Djehuti actually hides the body of a woman. It was possible thanks to the use of a modern tomograph, because the mummy is still complete – bandages were not developed for research purposes. The work is still ongoing and is again subject to new information.
– During the preparation of the skull of the mummy we examined for 3 prints, we noticed large defects in the inscriptions of the skeleton, larger than those that would arise during mummification runs – the face of PAP Marzena Ożarek-Szilke, anthropologist from the Medical University of Warsaw (MUW). As she added, such smaller defects appeared in the repair tool through one of the holes. In the case of, among others the ethmoid bone was broken in “gouging out” the brain.
Prof. Rafał Stec from the Oncology Clinic of the Medical University of Warsaw. PAP sanctioned what he replied about the Egyptian woman suffering from cancer and whether or not without listening to the sound with the probability that this was not the case.
– Obtaining an opinion on the experts who conduct the mummification examination is not typical of the mummification process. Secondly, the opinions of radiologists based on computed tomography on the possibility of selection in the bones of cancerous background “indication – scientist.
He added that it was possible to retrieve and create a new cause of the source of death with the probability of “per cause per source”.
Response to the histopathological response
Prof. prof. is recognizable. Therefore, this year they are planning to download and perform various analyzes at the Medical University of Warsaw. The samples from the Warsaw mummy will be compared with the cancer samples from other Egyptian mummies. They are one of the representatives at the Bank of England in the US and UK.
When asked from this type of head who suffer, the professors listed management disorders, changes in articulation of speech, auditory disorders, and disorders of the respiratory system.
– Death in the case of this and other neoplasms, in order to achieve the success of distant metastases, also by destroying, but separating with the tumor or a thrombotic-hemorrhagic complication – assured.
Prof. The heart of mankind is that cancer has always been with us.
– But as you know, we did not have a genesis tumor until the end of the 90s, which did not create, what created, what will end in age, so the earliest development and cause from another source – he said.
Ozarek added that tumors in ancient ancient Egypt were not repeated often and several radio processes of the nasopharynx were popular.
“Allocation signature”
The results of the analysis of the mummy may allow the researcher to develop modern medicine. Like prof. Stec, it will be announced that it will be nearby and will occur with the current holes. He also expressed that further research, and further research and further research, which is carrying out further research, both in diagnosis and in force.
Planned further determines what the study was studied – whether it was possible to obtain a virus with a stroke, such as HPV, or the retained genetic material.
The gene analysis forlach will be displayed by prof. Tomasz Stokłosa from the Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics, Medical University of Warsaw. The research will take several months, the achievement may be known later this year.
The only such mummy
Apart from Ożarek-Szilke and prof. Steca also Dr. Wojciech Ejsmond from the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Stanisław Szilke and Marcin Jaworski.
The mummy under study was brought to Poland in 1826 by Jan Wężyk-Rudzki.
Dr. Wojciech Ejsmond told PAP that it was long believed that there was a “mummy of a woman” inside the coffin. This is what 19th-century documents say. It was only in the interwar period that the hieroglyphs on the coffin were read, which have good beginnings for her, the priest Hor-Djehuti. Thus, it was concluded that the inside of the circuit was a man. Only in the course of recent studies it was established that it is a woman.
Researchers reported the removal of the mummified woman in 2021. However, not all of them say they agree with this statement. They were given by, for example, the expert teamed up with the mummies of prof. Sahar Saleem.
Currently, the mummy, the seat of the University of Warsaw, has been on deposit at the National Museum in Warsaw since 1917. Together with the sarcophagus, it is presented at the exhibition of the Ancient Art Gallery.
