Index – Sport – Another four podiums, Hungary finished at the top of the medals table
According to the report of the Hungarian federation, both Dóra Molnár and Nikolett Pádár, who excelled throughout the European Championships, swam superbly on Sunday as well. The former, after the 200, triumphed in the 100-meter backstroke with great success on the last day, and the latter won the bronze medal in the 400 after the success in the 100 and 200 IM. After their individual races, they were both members of the silver-medal 4×100 meter women’s medley relay, which Pádár, as the last person, brought from third place to second place, with one more disadvantage against the Italians and 1.4 against the French during the relay, and then he overtook the former, and he was only 15 hundredths of a second behind the latter at the end.
Molnár and Pádár finished their performance in the Romanian capital with six medals each, including four golds, where they were members of the winning 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays.
On the final day, Minna Ábrahám took the fourth place on the podium, finishing in second place in the 200-meter medley with a time of 2:14.28 minutes, a Hungarian age-class record.
Hungary won the medal table with six gold, five silver and three bronze medals, which was the first time at a junior European championship, the 2005 competition in Budapest.
