Nice return for Esclaffades in the heart of the village in Saint-Hélen – Saint-Hélen
The 19th edition of Esclaffades, the street arts festival, started on Saturday July 9, marked by radiant sunshine and summery summer temperatures. The shows delighted young and old alike. From 2 p.m., many families arrived to discover or rediscover the world of Les Esclaffades. The magnificent hats from the Compagnie Ouest-Arts, like the vegetal hairstyles from the Quignon sur rue company, were unanimously approved by the young ladies, as well as the make-up from the Jardin des couleurs, while the Recycleuse from the Nomadenko company, adorned with a 100 % recycled materials, offered artistic performances of making jewelry or accessories.
The public at the rendezvous
Les Goules, five singers and make-up artists, won over children and adults with their wandering show. The public divided around 4 p.m. for the first shows. To see the smiles on the faces of the spectators, the festival was eagerly awaited. “We welcomed many more visitors on this first day of Les Esclaffades than in previous years. We sent that the public was happy to find the atmosphere and excitement of this weekend at the rendezvous of humor and good humor. The 170 volunteers who are also the actors of the success of this weekend are ready to welcome the public. The new formula is working well,” rejoices Pascal Perrin, festival programmer. The festival continues this Sunday.
