LUXEMBOURG – The night from Friday to Saturday was rough for the police. In two hours, several alcohol-related situations were identified.
In two hours, in the night from Friday to Saturday, several alcoholic drivers could be arrested on the roads of Luxembourg. Even giving rise to some unusual scenes. Around 3:45 a.m., for example, on Boulevard Prince Henri in Esch-sur-Alzette, a motorist was stopped after nearly hitting a police patrol. The tests revealed the presence of alcohol and narcotics, but the man was also under a driving ban and without insurance for his vehicle, which was seized.
A little earlier, around 1:30 a.m., another drunk driver hit a bus without passengers by backing up in the rue de Hollerich in Luxembourg. His license was revoked. Ditto for this motorist, pinched in spite of himself on the road from Arlon to Mamer. He could not hide his state of intoxication even though the police stopped to help him, seeing his vehicle with a flat tire and the hazard lights on.
To be complete, another driver lost his license around 3:30 am at the exit of Schrondweiler, where he caused an accident. Slightly injured, he was taken to hospital.
