Bilbao goes flamenco with Soleá Morente
BBK Live 2022
The middle sister of the Morente clan seduces a thousand festival-goers at the closing of the Bereziak cycle of BBK Live
Soleá Morente has left a piece of her soul in Bilbao this afternoon at the closing of the Bereziak cycle of BBK Live. The loosest verse of the clan has brought together a thousand people at the El Arenal kiosk in a concert full of magnetism. A good dose of flamenco pop to gather strength before the third assault on Kobetamendi.
The singer has broken down the themes of her latest work, the heartfelt tribute to her parents, ‘Aurora and Enrique’, without forgetting the successes that have made her the brightest star of this series of concerts at vermouth time. Which by the way, was a highly appreciated asset considering the high temperatures. The Arenal was crowded, but only in the shaded areas. The sun was reserved only for the bravest / unconscious.
‘Domingos’, the song she sings with Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, was one of the most danced by an audience that even took advantage of the concert to “fool around”, as the artist herself said. Immediately afterwards, El Arenal fell silent to listen carefully to ‘Soledad’, the song with which the artist set up a flamenco tablao with the help of guitarist Rubén Campos.

He let his hair down with ‘You came for me’, a sample of his most thug and defiant side, and closed with a wink to Rafaela Carrá. ‘Not thinking of you’ was a great party with choreography waving the arms by the musicians. But the public did not let her go. “I don’t know how we’re doing on time, but we’re going to stay,” she promised. She still had two bullets in the chamber. Finally her brooch was ‘Dance with me’, with a good move. Sensual, playful and flamenco, the great jewel of Bereziak.
