Current: Travel outside Bulgaria in the conditions of Covid-19
In many places around the world, including in Bulgaria, Covid-19 is starting to remember itself again. Due to the even more easily transmitted new sub-variants of “Omicron”, there was talk of a new Covid wave. The authorities are calling on travelers across the border to be aware of the increase in cases of infection and to take reduced preventive measures. More and more European countries are bringing back the requirement to wear a protective mask indoors. Also, before traveling, they recommend everyone get a booster shot of the vaccine.
If you are about to travel in the country, you should comply with the current regime for entering the country, as well as with the anti-epidemic measures of the territory ì. Here are the changes that some of the countries have seen in recent days.
Although most EU and European Economic Area countries have already lifted covid measures for travelers, not yet France, Holland, Malta and Spain continues to give the need for citizens arriving from the so-called third countries to comply with travel restrictions related to Covid -19. This means that travelers from third countries to these European countries must have a vaccination certificate, for recovery or a negative test.
Finland Officially canceled restrictions on entering the country related to Covid -19, as of July 1. This means that all arrivals are exempt from the need to present a document of a completed vaccination cycle or a Covid -19 test result. The changes also affect passengers from countries outside the EU and the Schengen area, including United Kingdom, United States, Russia as well as Turkey.
Portugal canceling restrictive measures related to Covid-19 upon entry into the country. As of July 1, arrivals are no longer required to present proof of a negative Covid -19 test result or a document of vaccination or previous illness.
However, the authorities remind that some internal Covid measures still remain in force. Tourists should comply with the requirement to wear a protective mask in public transport, in pharmacies and in some public establishments, the Visit Portugal website reports.
France urges tourists to be careful when visiting the country increasing cases of Covid -19. The authorities recommend the wearing of protective masks, but clarified that for now they do not expect the return of additional restrictive measures that would repel travelers. According to WHO data, France has registered 637,166 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last seven days. During this period, the number of deaths from infection in the country was 242.
Cyprus The use of protective masks indoors for all persons over the age of 12 is maintained, which significantly reduces the number of newly discovered and hospitalized cases of coronavirus in recent days, reports “Horizon” on BNR. The measure enters into force on July 8 of this year. The wearing of the protective mask is mandatory for all closed premises, with the exception of family cars, during meals in restaurants, during sports and physical exercises (for example in gyms and dance schools). The fine for non-compliance with the measure is 300 euros, reminds the Ministry of Health of Cyprus.
