Anger grows. This Thursday, July 7, breeders from the department of Haute-Savoie deposited in front of the prefecture the corpse of a cow which had been attacked by a wolf. By this macabre staging, they signaled their dissatisfaction with the repeated attacks of wolves in the region.
The animal belonged to a herd that was in the pastures on the heights of Fillière. He was attacked earlier this week. Following her injuries, the cow had to be euthanized. Two other animals were also injured.
Moreover, the GAEC of Bougy, to which the cow belonged, had shared on July 5 on social networks a video of the attack on the herd by three wolves.
For a “zero wolf” zone in Haute-Savoie
The purpose of this action is to show residents and state officials “the consequences of not managing the wolf problem”, declared Bernard Mogenet, the president of the FDSEA, at the Dauphine Libere.
