Bilbao BBK Live 2022: Talos, sushi, contests, merchandising and a giant turntable: is BBK Live a theme park?
Practical guide to survive three days of music in Kobetamendi
The charms of Bilbao BBK Live transcend the musical. In addition to around a centenary of concerts, Kobetamendi offers a good handful of leisure activities and gastronomy, which you have to gather strength between dance and dance. The festival has overtones of a theme park. What can be done during these three days? And what can you buy? This is the programming, apart from the five stages of the venue.
One of the big questions before the festival starts is usually how much a beer costs. Well, a San Miguel is charged at five euros, while the katxi to the top is worth ten. By the way, the glass is paid for three, but they are returnable. For years, so that Kobetamendi does not end up as an unfortunate landfill, the festival for reuse. Water, one of the most precious goods considering the summer temperatures that the festival is going to host, costs three euros at the bar. But if you don’t care if it’s mineral or you just want to refresh your body a little, go through the bathroom faucets. The water is drinkable and, above all, free. Shots cost five euros, soft drinks four, kalimotxos eleven and mixed drinks thirteen.
Impossible not to get hungry with so much hustle and bustle between one stage and another. Well, you’re in luck because there is practically everything. It will be rare that your craving remains unsatisfied. Burgers that are around ten euros, the refreshing pokes at thirteen and the always handy noodles from nine euros. The festival offers a good handful of local gastronomic proposals. Restaurants like Panda, Dynamic and Foodo have their own foodtruck in Kobetamendi. What do you want something more traditional? No problem, there are even talos. A van offers only 100% vegan options and a yellow school bus -just like the ones in the movies- serves Simpsons-inspired burgers.
Merchandising and local brands

Especially if your preferences are the classics like Ramones, Guns and Roses or Scorpions. The comfortable tote bags (which, by the way, you can also get for free if you customize them at the Red Bull stand) and the costume jewelery are other star products. Arizona Vintage has its own clothing store for you to become the most modern of the festival and the original keychains of puppets and skulls put the most colorful point of the festival market.
