Toulouse Plages: the program for the 20th edition, from July 22 to August 28
After two years in reduced format due to Covid, Toulouse Plages returns with all the activities, from July 22 to August 28, 2022. And new, an eight-meter climbing wall.
No more health passes and the presentation of an identity document to access Toulouse Plages. The 2021 edition, which had nevertheless provided 228,000 people, is now far behind. Even if the Covid epidemic remains present in the minds and in the figures, the town hall celebrates the 20th edition of Toulouse beaches, with the objective of equaling the 400,000 entries of 2019.
From Friday July 22 on the Prairie des Filtres, 38 days of entertainment are planned, Monday to Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The “largest free playground in Toulouse” offers around thirty sports and as many fun activities, accessible from 3 to 77 years old.

“It’s an answer to the problem of purchasing power, and an answer for families who can’t go on vacation: there’s something for everyone, with spaces on sand, on grass, on water, water games, inflatable games, trampolines and tree climbing”, recalled the mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc, this Wednesday, July 6.
Olympic sports. Labeled “Terre de Jeux”, the city of Toulouse honors Olympic sports, such as 3×3 basketball, climbing, beach volleyball, badminton, rugby, rowing, canoeing, table tennis… This year, climbing is coming, with a rock 8 meters high, with 4 routes, accessible from the age of six in complete safety. But also American football (non-contact), disc golf, beach tennis, petanque, throwing games.

Activities for the youngest. There are not only purely sporting activities. Fun is also present at Toulouse Plages, with 5 trampolines, 1 mini-adventure course, dance and expression activities (land art, role-playing, singing), traditional games (hopscotch, dodgeball), orienteering, tree climbing, chess, toy library, family area.
The freshness of the Garonne. As every year, visitors will find the nautical area on the Garonne, the beach area, a petanque court. For idleness, go to the ludoplage to discover many games, or to the biblioplage to read a book in the shade of the trees.

The associations and the town hall mobilized. About thirty sports associations participate in the activities: neighborhood associations, elite clubs, which can promote their activity. Almost 80 City agents are mobilized. 5,000 people can access the Prairie des Filtres site at the same time.
The other areas of Toulouse Plages. At Port Viguerie, you can board the Ferris wheel (opening mid-July), go to the Racines guinguette (from June 10 to September 10) and sail aboard a boat without a license on the Garonne (from June 24 June to October 12).
La Ramée beach. The supervised fine sand beach of Lac de la Ramée opens its doors on Saturday July 9, until August 28, every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please note that swimming is prohibited in the lake outside the supervised area.
