Red Bull Salzburg surprisingly extends contract with Nicolas Seiwald
Nicolas Seiwald’s contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg does not end in the summer of 2024, but only two years later – namely on June 30, 2026. The club and the player have agreed on this early contract extension, so Bullen die in a broadcast.
The 21-year-old from Salzburg was not only one of the players with the most minutes played in the Bundesliga last season, but also impressed with strong performances in the Champions League and the national team. Most recently, Seiwald was associated with a move to Bayer Leverkusen, among other things. Now he extends the Austrian series champion for two more years.
“Nici’s development over the past few years is really amazing. Last season in particular, he demanded incredible performances, even performed extremely consistently in the Champions League and in the national team at the highest level. Nici is from Salzburg or Salzburg. Kuchler Junge and has been through all the youth teams in our club since the U9s in the region, and we are very happy about the early contract extension,” says sporting director Christoph Freund.
Seiwald also says about the new working paper: “I am very happy that my path at FC Red Bull Salzburg is continuing. I’ve spent almost my entire footballing career here, I’ve learned so much already and I want to continue to achieve my personal goals in the coming year, to confirm last year’s performances. I’ll put all my strength and focus into it.”
