She can’t get out of her prison: you might think so when you look at Charlène von Monaco’s (44) latest Instagram post. The princess is caught in a new art project. She looks through the bars with sad eyes, the fur pattern of a tiger lies over her face. Does she feel like a captive big cat?
Art Against Hunger
The artist of the work “OurVisionTogether” is the South African Junaid Sénéchal-Senekal (44). He created the portrait of the Princess and 15 other paintings as part of an art project for the Princess Foundation. During the creative phase, Sénéchal-Senekal starved, with which he draws the link to the purpose of the foundation. Feed2Gether fights against child hunger in Charlène’s home country of South Africa.
15 of the pictures showing naked bodies will be sold and the proceeds will be used to fight hunger. A work of art, but interested parties cannot purchase. It is the start of the video on the Charlènes Instagram channel: the princess behind bars.
“I hope she finds her peace”
How dramatic and expressive this picture is is also not hidden from the users on Instagram. You find clear words: “No one finds happiness in the palace, which turns out to be a prison,” writes one, and another follower adds: “We see all the distress in Charlène’s soul here. I hope she finds her peace.”
The princess’s marriage and her mental health are said to be in bad shape. The picture that Charlène published on her 11th wedding anniversary with Prince Albert (64) also alarmed her fans. They worry that the princess will support them in their partnership. “This marriage must be a nightmare,” writes an Instagram user.
Is the princess trapped in her marriage?
Charlène stayed away from the principality for more than a year because she fell seriously ill during a trip to South Africa and was subsequently treated in a clinic in Geneva for “extreme exhaustion”, as the palace was known at the time. Since then, she has been pursuing her royal obligations, but observers are very concerned about the former competitive athlete. She often seems unhappy and absent.
The Princess’ new artwork could be a very clear indication of what’s really weighing on Charlene. Does she feel trapped with her husband because of the million dollar contract? This should allow Charlène to carry out her representative duties, for which she can move her place of residence to Geneva. However, the twins Jacques and Gabriella (7) remain in Monaco. A bitter blow for the mother of the two. (grb)
