Good news! MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® achieves prestigious re-accreditation from the AACSB Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

There is great joy at the Entrepreneurial School®: The responsible bodies of the Tampa/Florida-based accreditation agency AACSB Association for the Advancement of College Schools of Business have die Re-accreditation of MCI as a First Class Business School decided. The founding members of the AACSB, founded in 1916, include renowned universities such as Columbia, Harvard, Cornell, Yale, Chicago and Berkeley.

After the initial accreditation of the MCI in 2016, the university was recently re-accredited, which provided for an assessment process with a special focus on teaching, research, innovation, business start-ups, professional prospects for students and the impact of the university on the economy and society.

It is particularly pleasing that the re-accreditation was issued without a new requirement and for the maximum permissible period of five years and that the MCI is also seen as exemplary in several respects: Entrepreneurship in particular & start-ups, high internationality, committed team in research and Teaching, intensive networking with business and great career prospects for the alumni. As a result, the MCI is one of only around 5% of all economics universities and business schools worldwide that are allowed to carry this prestigious award.

The renewed award with the international AACSB accreditation is the result of comprehensive quality efforts and fits in with ongoing top results in surveys, accreditations and rankings, which the Entrepreneurial School® has achieved with great regularity for many years.

Testify

Innsbruck’s mayor George Willy is glad: “The re-accreditation as a top business school is proof of the worldwide reputation of the MCI and the high quality in research and teaching. I congratulate the MCI on this renewed award, which further strengthens Innsbruck as a science and university location.”

“The university landscape in Tyrol enjoys an international reputation – this is also thanks to the MCI, where an excellent team in research, teaching and administration work tirelessly to develop themselves further and always react to the latest developments. I am very pleased that the MCI is now still accredited as a First Class Business School – truly deserved”, So Annett LejaProvincial Councilor for Science & Research in Tyrol.

Oswald WolkensteinMCI Supervisory Board Chairman, is enthusiastic: “With the MCI, Austria has an Entrepreneurial University® that lives up to its name and claim. It stands for performance, innovation and competitiveness and regularly delivers top performance itself. I would like to thank the dedicated team around Rector Andreas Altmann for the many years of successful development work and I am convinced that the path we have taken will continue to move forward.”

Andreas Altmann, MCI Rector, proud: “Who would have thought 25 years ago what can come out of an idea if it is committed enough? 3,500 students, 15,000 alumni, 400 full-time professions and 1,000 external lecturers from all over the world and, above all, an incredible energy that is reflected in new research results, innovative solutions, successful careers and ongoing awards every day. Big thanks to everyone who gives MCI their trust and support every day!”
