Change of leadership at FC Wacker Innsbruck
Hannes Rauch has been elected new president of FC Wacker Innsbruck with immediate effect because Kevin Radi has resigned as president of the traditional Tyrolean club. Jakob Griesebner and Niklas Sattler complete the new Management Board team.
Hannes Rauch knows the man specifically from his political career with positions as a member of the National Council and sports spokesman in parliament, informs FC Wacker in a broadcast. He also has many years of experience in leading a football club – for many years Rauch was president of the traditional Austrian regional league club FC Kufstein. Now Rauch wrote about the first days in office as FCW President:
“The past few days have been extremely intense with numerous appointments and discussions. Last Thursday we were summoned to the TFV protest committee to clarify the league membership of FC Wacker Innsbruck. Our legal opinion is clear: Wacker Innsbruck will play in the Regionalliga Tirol next season. Leading lawyers share this opinion. For this we will use all the ways and means available to us until the very end. A decision by the TFV should be communicated to us in the middle of next week.”
