With a bang, series champions Red Bull Salzburg won their second friendly in the pre-summer season. In the game against the Polish club Legia Warsaw, in which the Mozartstadt team played exclusively with young players in the first 45 minutes, a 0:2 deficit at the break was turned into a 3:2 victory. Benjamin Sesko with a brace and Junior Adamu ensure a conciliatory outcome after goals conceded by Josue Pesqueira and Ernest Muci. Matthias Jaissle and his team thus also contested the second test, which is expected to be successful in the upcoming season.

“The first half wasn’t quite what we had imagined. We got into it quite early and then the young squad, a motley crew, lost track a bit. I was really satisfied with the second half, there we played really great football in all phases of the game for a long time: very grippy against the ball, found good solutions with the ball and callous in front of the goal.
Salzburg also announces that midfielder Mohamed Camara is currently released from training due to transfer talks. The 22-year-old player from Mali, who has been one of Salzburg’s absolute regulars for two seasons and was able to draw attention to himself with good performances, especially in the Champions League season, has long been associated with a departure from the city of Mozart. So far, the 15-time national player has played 76 competitive games for his current club.
