FC Red Bull Salzburg are leaving Bramberg am Wildkogel early and will return to the city of Mozart on Wednesday. The Austrian series champion announced this on Wednesday morning. The reason for this decision is the bad weather forecast for the coming days. The training camp would originally have ended on July 2nd.
“Those responsible in Bramberg did an exemplary job and tried everything, but in the end the weather didn’t play along. However, we need every single training session for the best possible preparation for the new, intensive season,” explained sports director Christoph Freund in a broadcast.
Sessions expected for this week are now taking place in Taxham. “Our training center is an excellent alternative, we will continue to work there and also do the test against Legia Warsaw,” said Freund. The friendly game against the Poles fell victim to the bad weather conditions on Tuesday and will now take place behind closed doors in Liefering on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
