in the street for our rights!
From France to the USA (and all over the world) IVG Transition PMA: in the street for our rights!
This year’s Pride March takes place against the backdrop of the historic attack on abortion rights in the United States. the quashing of Roe v. Wade who just removed the protection of the right to abortion, calling for free states to decide whether they allow it or not, this is an all-out patriarchal offensive against women and LGBTQIA+ people around the world whole, and of their right to dispose of their bodies.
In France, at the end of an electoral period marked by the advance of the extreme right, the reactionaries are worried about the advances of the feminist, who denounce the decisions of the political, judicial and police institutions lgbtphobes, and call into question the shackles of gender and sexuality.
In Bordeaux, Saturday June 12, during Pride, fascist groups violently attacked demonstrators and unfurled a banner: “Let’s protect children, stop LGBT madness. »
The government and companies take advantage of Pride month to carry out communication campaigns and claim to be “LGBTQIA+ friendly”, while they arouse or tolerate the lgbtphobic climate and attack our rights, pushing LGBTQIA+ people to censor or hide: at work, in the street, in institutions, in families.
While the pandemic has blown up the public hospital crisis, the CHU is suffering the full brunt of budget cuts. Various departments of the Purpan hospital have been on strike for several weeks to safeguard the material and human means of care. The damage to health directly calls into question access to rights as fundamental as abortion, treatment against HIV, medical transitions or even assisted reproduction. On the La Grave hospital site, services for the most precarious and refugees: the CeGIDD (Free Center for Information, Screening and Diagnosis) and the PASS (permanent access to health care) … are dismantled and moved outside the city center!
From the United States to France, the situation shows once again that we must fight to obtain and maintain rights, never acquired.
Let’s carry these fights in the pride march, for an effective access to health, to transition paths, to treatments against HIV and to PMA, and more broadly for the right of LGBTQIA+ people to dispose of their bodies and their lives!
