The public prosecutor’s office accuses the Salzburg-based parcel deliverer of being in the woman’s apartment after a delivery. There he grabbed her from behind, threw her on the ground and raped her. The victim initially did not put up an ad, but on January 10 installed a camera disguised as a doorbell on her front door. Recordings later secured by the police document several parcel deliveries by the accused in the weeks that followed.
Accused states that he only approached the woman
The videos from the day of the attempted rape, January 25, show that the man stayed in the door or in his victim’s apartment for five to six minutes. When asked by the judge, he said that he had spoken to the woman at the time because she had always been very sad and he had noticed interventions on her – “as if she had injured her hands with a razor”. why she was injured and touched her wrist for a few seconds. “All she said at the time was, ‘It’s fine. Four days later the police called me and confronted me with the allegation of rape.”
“Never been to the woman’s apartment”

According to a report, the woman suffered post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the rape. If found guilty, the accused faces between five and 15 years in prison. A verdict is expected in the afternoon.
