German Football League: Berliner Adler win away in Cologne
The Berliner Adler clinched their third win in the series in the German Football League (GFL) on Saturday afternoon. The Berliners won their away game against the Cologne Crocodiles by a narrow margin of 34:33 (28:21). The Eagles thus consolidate their second place in the table of Group North 2.
Coach Shuan Fatah’s team initially had problems with the Cologne hosts. Already after the first quarter the guests from Berlin were 14:21 behind. In the second quarter, however, the team showed itself to be significantly improved both offensively and defensively. A 14:0 in the second period brought the eagles the half-time lead.
The first touchdown at halftime, on the other hand, belonged to the Crocodiles again. Wide receiver Jarvis McClam converted a pass from quarterback Christian Strong into a touchdown. This requires an exciting game that is close to the end, which the eagles could ultimately decide in their favour.
