Northern Netherlands wants to send TopDutch on the road with a small million
He’s back from home: TopDutch. The campaign, which aims to bring the Northern Netherlands to the attention of the international business community, will receive 300,000 euros for the future two years if it is awarded to the province.
TopDutch made a strong case in 2016 to bring a large Tesla factory to the North, but it failed. There was also a fight between the TopDutch team, which came to a standstill during the campaign. But now TopDutch is making a restart to market the region well. The Noordelijke Ondernemingsmaatschappij (NOM) will be working on it on behalf of the provinces of Drenthe, Groningen and Fryslân.
According to de Drenthe, ‘joint branding contributes to further enhancing the expansion and propagating the pride of the many powerful effects that reeds unfold in the North’.
TopDutch will be restarted after the summer. The Provincial Council in Drenthe can still respond to the Provincial Executive’s proposal to provide the three tons to NOM during a meeting on June 29. Groningen and Friesland also contribute three hundred thousand euros. The budget for the previous campaign was 1.2 million euros.
