“Democratic Bulgaria” again calls on the state to take control of “Lukoil”
Ivaylo Mirchev chose GERB’s attempts to ride the topic as “extreme hypocrisy”
“Lukoil Neftochim must be under the operational control of the state in order to protect the Bulgarian interest as much as possible.”
This was requested today by the MP from “Democratic Bulgaria” Ivaylo Mirchev. This is an old request of the right-wing union, which believes that the refinery in Burgas – responsible for the vast majority of the products of gas stations, does not work on a market basis and the damaging state.
The statement that there are no reports was made by the Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov in January. Krassimir Parvanov, who is a golden share of the state in the company, even then came up with the theory that there is no such desire. The procedure for his change is currently underway, but the interesting thing is that in recent months Alexander Nikolov has started claiming that his communication with Parvanov has become better and the last help in the conditions of the European oil embargo on Russia, Club Z writes.
According to Ivaylo Mirchev, there was the same problem in Romania with the Lukoil refinery, but the company is already paying taxes. According to him, the suspicions are that in Bulgaria some of the state institutions have been raised by individuals in order to allow Lukoil Neftochim not to pay taxes over the years.
He also argued the old request of the State Bank for the establishment of a parliamentary commission to consider the activities of “Lukoil” with “a complex geopolitical, complex energy situation, a situation of complete force majeure.”
The topic was recently taken up – quite surprisingly – by GERB. In recent days, party officials, especially Delyan Dobrev, have recalled that Russian oil used by the refinery is extremely cheap and there is no fuel for consumers. GERB accuses the law of not doing anything about it. Today, Mirchev called these actions of GERB “extreme political hypocrisy”.
“I have never heard in the 12 years of GERB’s rule, in which Boyko Borissov supports his great friend Valentin Zlatev, Delyan Dobrev raise the issue of non-payment of taxes by Lukoil,” he said.
And the additional ones – fuel prices may be low if the legislation on tax warehouses is reformed.
