Football: Toulouse succeeds Bordeaux at the Onet-le-Château U13 international tournament
The Pitchouns won the 11th International Onet tournament by beating Dijon by the narrowest of margins (1-0) and after a closed final on Sunday June 19. They put their name on the winners’ list for the first time.
It’s a real winning comeback made by the club of Onet-le-Château, Sunday, June 19, with the conclusion of its traditional tournament as long as the feedback was positive from all the protagonists present. Despite the heat, then the wind that appeared on Sunday, all the lights were green, among the many local volunteers as well as among the participants. With as a masterpiece the presence of the two professionals who have passed through the OCF football school, Kilian Corredor (Raf, L2) and Amir Adouyev (Shakhter Karaganda, Kazakhstan), to carry out the award ceremony accompanied champions of R1, Soulatges, Ahammout, Peci and Mellé.
On the ground, the show was there with quality encounters and young people already trained in tactical games. In this game, the Toulousains and the Dijonnais proved to be the strongest, managing to reach the final quite easily. Proof of this is the results of the semi-finals during which the two teams won their ticket by three goals apart.

As is often the case in the final, the very large audience who had filled the grandstand of the stadium of honor attended a closed match. Dijon and its captain Exaucé Mena (who signed a five-year contract with the Burgundy club in the winter of 2021) seemed to have gained the upper hand over Tef, but the one who was voted the tournament’s best player and top scorer n was able to complete an opportunity he had procured at the cost of a raid through the Toulouse defence.
A few minutes later, on their only chance of the game, the players of Mehdi Benabdallah, the TFC coach, crucified their opponents with a header from Noé Akpa Akpoum.
“It’s a great joy for the kids. We had a bad start on Saturday. There were six outside players, so for benchmarks it was difficult. The second day was better, they deserved their victory. The great satisfaction, it’s that we tried to play, it was fun to see. I thank the two scouts from Onet who accompanied us throughout the weekend. The victory is thanks to them and for them”testified the Haut-Garonne coach after the final.
