Radev: Petkov is the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, not a courier in France for the Republic of Macedonia
Kiril Petkov is the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, not a courier in France for Northern Macedonia, President Rumen Radev told reporters.
According to him, Bulgaria should make its proposal for solving the problems in Northern Macedonia, and not to import from abroad and this “without stating a position.”
According to the President, it is unacceptable to transfer all responsibility to the National Assembly.
“The prime minister cannot submit a foreign proposal without his opinion. He is not a courier, a prime minister. My position is clear from the National Security Advisory Council, from my address to the National Assembly and the Bulgarian people. “The French presidency’s proposals are certain steps in the right direction, but a number of issues remain that need to be clarified before the veto is lifted,” he said.
“The entry of the Bulgarians in the Constitution (of Northern Macedonia) before the start of the negotiations is a good but insufficient condition. It is no less important to have clear mechanisms and criteria for eradicating the ten-year policy of de-Bulgarianization, theft and falsification of Bulgarian history, for restoration of destroyed monuments and signs of Bulgarianness in these lands, for preservation of Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage, to eradicate hate speech, to rehabilitate all victims repressed just for continuing to call themselves Bulgarians. I also expect the Bulgarian government to clarify these issues, to demand clear mechanisms and guarantees and to defend the Bulgarian interest, “Radev said.
The President’s comment and his statement yesterday that the “National Assembly has been transformed into a marketplace”: Since ancient times, trade is not just about money and you have to be an experienced politician to learn not to see what everyone knows. It is this sociopathy that is the reason for the rift between the Bulgarian people and the political class. “
“The no-confidence vote is a routine democratic parliamentary procedure, choose also. The fight against corruption is a judicial reform that has stopped. And here we must be extremely clear that the people with whom we have led the fight against corruption, and continue to lead it, and lawlessness, many of them are outside parliament. “The post of prime minister concentrates great power and if there is a problem with trust, it is decided not on the street, but with management decisions and actions,” Radev said.
