the unforgettable afternoon of a Yvelines family

Coming straight from Yvelines to attend the match against Angers (May 1, 2-0 victory), Yann and his two sons, Paul (16) and Louis (14), were far from imagining the surprise that their had reserved Béatrice, the mother of the family, with the complicity of the Club as part of its new MyWish Family program.
On March 15, Béatrice wrote to the club to inform him of a particular request. His wish ? Organizer a surprise for her husband and two sons, supporters of AS Monaco living in Rambouillet in the Yvelines, on the occasion of their visit to the region for the Easter holidays.
Touched by this singular request, AS Monaco wished to respond favorably and allow these supporters to live an unforgettable experience. Everything was then organized in the greatest secrecy until May 1st…
Observation of the warm-up as close as possible to the actors
Arrival at Louis II Stadium – a first for Paul and Louis – two hours before the start of the match, the family first witnessed the arrival of Philippe Clément’s men in the arena, placed only a few meters from the bus of the Monegasque delegation. Half an hour later, Yann, Béatrice, Paul and Louis were invited to observe the warm-up of the Monegasque players from the athletics track which borders the lawn, as close as possible to the players in the match. A rare and privileged moment.
Meet the players
The small family then joined the Honors stand, where they gave voice to encourage the players of the Rock and vibrated in front of this capital meeting in the race for the European Cup, finally won (2-0) by the Rouge & White.
The final whistle of this memorable afternoon? Not quite. The Club had reserved a final surprise for the guests of the day: a meeting with the players, as well as coach Philippe Clément, at the end of the match. The opportunity to end this day rich in emotions by collecting precious autographs and taking a few selfies with the Rouge & Blanc.
And Beatrice concludes: “A big thank you to AS Monaco! My husband and my children leave with stars in their eyes. This afternoon will remain forever in our memories. The attention given to us by the Club, its benevolence to our probable, as well as the organization put in place, have touched us enormously. We are really proud to support AS Monaco. »
A family of Rouge & Blanc enthusiasts
Originally from Loir-et-Cher, Yann’s passion for AS Monaco has its origins in the Diagonal jersey, which he fell in love with while watching French championship matches on television with his dad. Aged 8 when the Rocher club became French champions in 1982, Yann then began to collect Panini cards with a single objective: to complete the pages devoted to the Rouge & Blanc.
Fueled by the exploits of his childhood heroes, including Jean-Luc Ettori, Claude Puel, Manuel Amoros, and Yvon Le Roux, his love for AS Monaco was then passed on to Béatrice, his future wife. Warned since the first time she went to Yann’s and discovered a room entirely decorated in the colors of the Club, Béatrice gradually took a liking to red and white.
So much so that in 2005, for Yann’s 30th birthday, she wanted to mark the occasion and organize a surprise for her husband. The latter receives a birthday card signed by the entire workforce for the 2004/2005 season (Evra, Maicon, Adebayor, Squillaci, Givet, etc.), accompanied by a “YANN 30” flocked jersey and an invitation to discover the Stade Louis-II.
This will finally be honored on April 19, 2005, during the meeting against Clermont Foot in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France (victory 1-0 ap), then another four days later, in Ligue 1 this time. -ci, during the reception of Toulouse (2-1 victory). Béatrice embellishes this trip to the Principality with an ultimate surprise for Yann: a meeting with Didier Deschamps’ players at the La Turbie training centre.
As the couple became parents, it was the turn of Paul (16), then Louis (14) to fall into the red and white pot. Watching all AS Monaco matches with their father, they were rocked by the prowess of Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez or Kylian Mbappé, and remember the memories of the 2017 French championship title, as well as the epic in the Champions League the same year (elimination in the semi-final against Juventus).
Fan of Aurélien Tchouameni, Paul became his idol as a midfielder for FC Rambouillet-Yvelines. Louis is for his part still the “statistical gentleman” of the family, unbeatable on the history of the club and its results.
What is MyWish Family?
Allowing its supporters to experience exceptional family moments through their passion for the Rouge & Blanc, such is the wish of AS Monaco with this brand new program. “MyWish Family”.
