Mercato: Luis Campos met Massimiliano Allegri in Monaco
The photo that stirred social networks this Tuesday afternoon is very real: the new strongman of PSG Luis Campos did meet the coach of Juventus Turin Massimiliano Allegri in a hotel in Monaco. But he will not come to Paris for all that according to the Italian press.
It was the improbable rumor of the day in the small world of PSG, the meeting between the new “Soccer Advisor” Parisian Luis Campos and Juventus Turin coach Massimiliano Allegri, yet confirmed by his club for next season and under contract for another three seasons. It was via a photo posted on Snapchat by rapper Gradur and showing the two men side by side in front of the Hotel de Paris in Monaco that everything started:
The two men were easily recognizable and a second photo appeared quickly, confirming the presence of Max Allegri in front of the famous Monegasque hotel, but it was then harder to recognize Luis Campos, a little further away on this second shot. The Italian press confirms this evening that the meeting between the two men has indeed taken place and that the photos published date from the day.
The Italian transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio explains in particular that the meeting was completely fortuitous between the two men who had known each other for many years. In reality, Campos lives in Monaco while Allegri goes there regularly during his holidays. They simply had a coffee together, even if it is obviously not excluded that Campos could have made an attempt to try to repatriate him to Paris as the transalpine journalist explains. Last year, Campos had tried to place Real Madrid, without success.
The only certainty, Allegri will not come to PSG this summer and Di Marzio will once again place Christophe Galtier as the big favorite to take over the coaching position that Mauricio Pochettino is about to release.
