Pret a Manger enters Portugal and Spain after agreement with Ibersol – Empresas
The Ibersol group reached an agreement with the restricted chain of sandwiches and coffees Pret A Manger for the expansion of this brand in Portugal and Spain. The objective is “to create a solid network of restaurants”, informed the Portuguese restaurant chain. in statement released this evening with the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
“The new segment, according to Pret A Manger, foresees the opening of 70 units in Portugal and Spain in the next 10 years, with the presence of both the retail and travel segments”, detailing the document.
Pret A Manger, founded over 30 years ago in London and owned by JAB Holding Co., is a company that has more than 570 units spread across six markets: United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Europe. (France, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany).
Ibersol, it is recalled, explores spaces for brands such as Burger King (whose sale of the 119 establishments in Portugal and Spain is under negotiation with RBI until June 30), Pizza Hut, KFC, Pans or Pasta Caffé.
On the 18th of March, Ibersol – along with Novabase, Pharol and Ramada – traded on the national stock market’s benchmark index for the last time and is now on PSI Geral. After the jail lock, the restoration company said it was now designated by PSI (which went from having 19 listed to only 15, as a result of the review).
