OM Mercato: AS Monaco threatens Marseille for Danilo
Strengthening the midfield will be one of Olympique de Marseille’s priorities this summer. OM leaders are already working behind the scenes to attract a new defensive midfielder with a view to replacing Boubacar Kamara, gone to Aston Villa. And among the names announced in recent days in Marseille, that of danilo (21) would fit perfectly with the wishes of coach Jorge Sampaoli. His performances under the tunic of Palmeiras aroused the interest of the Argentine coach in his present.
The boss of the OM bench would therefore campaign internally to attract him into his nets this summer. And this interest would be reciprocal, since danilo would be open to the idea of joining Olympique de Marseille during this summer transfer window. However, his coming to OM is far from certain, because of his price considered too high for Marseille finances. The management of Palmeiras would claim no less than 20 million euros for the future transfer of danilo. Amount that Olympique de Marseille cannot afford to spend at the moment. Faced with the procrastination of the Marseillais, another Ligue 1 formation could thus benefit from it. This is AS Monaco.
OM Mercato: Ongoing negotiations between AS Monaco and Danilo
The newspaper sport indeed explains that the Monegasque leaders recently came to the news for the defensive midfielder of Palmeiras. The Principality club would have contacted the entourage of the Brazilian player and would like to recruit him in order to compensate for the departure of Aurélien Tchouaméni. AS Monaco would have even taken a serious step forward in this case, to the detriment of OM. FC Barcelona and Premier League teams would also be in ambush on this track. If for the time being no agreement has been reached between danilo and a club, the file could settle the weeks to come.
