a giant screen for the Top 14 semi-final against Castres?
The Reds and Blacks did. In the play-off against La Rochelle, they qualified for the Top 14 semi-finals. This Friday, June 17 in Nice, the defending champions will therefore face Castres Olympique, who finished at the top of the standings at the end of the regular phase. A meeting which should be, find it, a duel at the top. Could Toulouse people watch it on a giant screen?
No giant screen for the Top 14 semi-final in Toulouse
Contacted by The Independent Opinion, the town hall of Toulouse answers in the negative. “There will be nogiant screen for the Top 14 semi-final in Toulouse. If the Stade Toulousain is in the final, then we will think about it”, explains the municipality. The supporters of the men of Ugo Mola will therefore have to be satisfied with a broadcast at home or in bars. In question: the high cost of installation of a giant screen “Around 80,000 euros”, specifies the town hall of Toulouse.
If we had to install one each time the Toulouse stadium is in the semi-finals and the final, the bill would be very high”.
Antoine Dupont and his teammates are therefore warned, to offer Toulouse a beautiful moment of communion around the oval ball, no choice: we must win this semi-final. On the Castrais side, on the other hand, the town hall has already announced that a giant screen would be placed on Place Soult in Castres. Animations and distribution of accessories are also planned.
