Toulouse. Successful bet for the Colors Festival of Secours Populaire
Great success, yesterday on the port of La Daurade in Toulouse, for the first “Festival of Colors” organized by the Secours populaire de la Haute-Garonne. An event aimed at the general public and focused on interculturality and the promotion of living together. “At Au Secours Populaire, we welcome people from all countries and we had to show that this diversity is a strength,” explains Aubane Saboureau, project manager.
“It’s interesting to meet people without being in a direct approach of solidarity” added Houria Tareb, general secretary of the Haute-Garonne section. Eight groups of music and songs from around the world came to participate voluntarily in the celebration. Many stands have been set up all around the square: thrift store, crafts from Madagascar, world solidarity stand to highlight the projects carried out internationally by the Secours Populaire. There is even a health stand for vision and hearing prevention and HIV testing. Sitting on the grass in the shade of the trees, or dancing to the frenzied rhythms of the Baga percussion group, like Gabrielle, Leïla and Lucie from Rodez, a heterogeneous audience was there. And the party was to continue very late into the night with DJ Nobreakfast.
