Thessaloniki: Frame by frame the operation to arrest members of the Colombian cartel
With their arms outstretched and their finger on the trigger, OPKE police officers surround the luxury villa and headquarters of the cartel in Kato Scholari, Thessaloniki.
They arrest two people who run in vain to escape. Two more will be collected a few minutes later.
The police cover all the areas and rooms of the villa, which resembles a “fortress”.
Ironwork, perimeter wires, automatic lights and cameras, while there is only one house a few meters away and then a rural road.
Shortly before the arrest, the police drone from a height of over 200 meters has recorded the two white bathrooms of the cartel reaching the villa. Two people appear on the roof and a man in the parking lot.
The members of the circuit have not realized. They park the bathrooms in the back of the villa and start transporting the bags with the 300 kilos of cocaine worth 10 million euros that they had hidden in a container with bananas.
Armored police officers handcuffed the four British drug dealers. One of them rushed to a police officer during his arrest in order to remove the weapon.
Last year the four Britons had moved their headquarters from the Netherlands to Thessaloniki.
They lived a luxurious but careful life. They had felt the villa in Kato Scholari with a monthly rent of 2,000 euros, rented expensive cars and boats.
They chose five-star hotels for their stay, but they did not cause any problems.
The shipments of cocaine started by ship from Colombia and ended up in ports in Mexico, Ecuador and Costa Rica. From there, their division into Europe and Australia began.
The 40-year-old leader of the cartel that organized the trafficking from Colombia has not been arrested and is wanted.
The four cruel and dangerous criminals were handcuffed and brought before the judicial authorities who prosecuted them.
According to police sources, they are also related to the 650 kilos of cocaine that he had found last April in the port of Calabria. They all asked for and received a deadline to apologize next Wednesday and until then they remain in custody.
