return of baroque music to Toulouse this weekend
After a particularly difficult period for the world of entertainment, the fourteenth edition of the music festival takes place from June 10 to 12. Baroque music as well as Ivorian and Malian music are given pride of place.
Since 2008, the event has never ceased to reinvent itself while keeping the DNA of the festival, around the German composer Jean-Sébastien Bach. Nearly 80 concerts and events are scheduled between Friday June 10 and Sunday June 12, all lasting 30 minutes, the singularity of the festival.

This year, among the highlights, the baroque ensemble of Toulouse under the direction of Michel Brun, the musical director of the music festival, has chosen to integrate traditional Ivorian and Malian music. In closing, on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Halle aux grains, Back to Africa promises a dream encounter between Bach and African music.
Unusual places
The festival emphasizes the celebration of cultural heritage, investing this year nearly 25 heritage or unusual places, from a concert hall to the vault of an unknown chapel, from a bookstore to a bar, from courtyard of a mansion to the prestigious Grand Chamber of the Court of Appeal. The opportunity to discover the architecture of the Couvent des Jacobins or the Chapelle des Carmélites.
The festivities will be punctuated by multiple musical surprises. Among them, an a capella song by three polyphonists hidden in a cupboard. The wardrobe will be running around all weekend with the aim of entertaining and keeping the public waiting in the queues. This polyphonic cabinet will create the opportunity for spectators to be directly immersed in the musical atmosphere of the festival.
