Migrant children living in Tatarstan will learn Russian for free 10.06.2022
Thanks to the “Children are Here” project, migrant children from Tatarstan learned the Russian language and the basics of Russian culture on a standard online platform. The program of increased support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 140,000 children participate in Russia. Coming to school, they most often do not speak Russian well and do not fear for strictness. Due to lack of knowledge of the language, about the same number of children do not go to school. These children are already citizens of Russia or may become so. Many of them are from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The created platform has educational video courses from teachers of Russian as a foreign language and artistic content – popular modern cartoons and series. Subtitles appear in the video at the Tajik, Uzbek, Kyrgyz and diplomatic levels. To support ongoing conversation clubs on trending topics.
The ambassadors of the project “Children are here” were high natives of the countries participating in the project, who have achieved success in Russia. The program will also support the pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic Salizhan Sharipovactress, member of the creative association “Ural dumplings” Ilanabusinessman Farid Chakaboev and two-time champion of Russia in taekwondo WTF, winner of the “Children of Asia” championship and bronze medalist of the European championship Rahman Aliyev.
Previously, he was a member of the Council of the President of Russia on the English language. Konstantin Derevianko informed on the creation of a plan for a national literacy index for representatives of various fields, professions and ages on the basis of the Gramota.ru portal.
