The short “Applause”, tomorrow, at 17, in the hall of the City Council
On Thursday 9 June, at 5 pm, in the hall of the Municipal Council of Pesaro, the short “Applausi” by and with Alex D’antona and Fabiano Tagarelli will be presented, in collaboration with the Zoe Association and the Municipality of Pesaro. “The Zoe Association has always been active in the defense of rights and against all forms of discrimination – explains the president Mattia Barbotti – we decided to participate in the Pride initiatives with the projection of“ Applause ”. It is a great pleasure for us to bring this work to Pesaro that has involved many citizens of Mola di Bari, to which we are particularly fond of thanks to a twinning project the Pista project! and funded by ANCI, which involved various realities of our territory and was able to develop a collaboration between the two municipalities that persists over time aimed at promoting not only projects related to social issues, but as in this case a theme that sees everyone involved and that it is our duty to support and promote. I take this opportunity to thank the organizers of Marche Pride and Arcigay Pesaro-Urbino for their collaboration ”. Applause, a short film / spot “denouncing the act of violence that took place in the Senate on 27 October”. First film behind the camera for Alex D’Antona (brother of Eros and Roberto D’Antona) and Fabiano Tagarelli, shot entirely in Mola di Bari with the spontaneous participation of numerous citizens. “One hundred and seven seconds of faces and stories in defense of those who were trampled on by the Italian senators in the exultation of the stadium after the sinking of the Zan law. One cannot turn the other way in the face of violence, homobitransphobic violence exists, it is real, and every day someone suffers it, often in silence ”. The directors D’antona and Tagarelli tell us: “In those 107 seconds we tried to give voice, silently, only to some of the stories of those who, in order to be themselves, have to face stereotypes, prejudices and sufferings.” Adds the producer Sportelli: “We want those 107 seconds to take flight, because it is a popular short, made by many * for everyone *, we want it to spin and help those who fight every day to raise awareness on the fight against homobitransphobia. And, above all, with Alex and Fabiano we want those 107 seconds to be used also to make someone feel * less sol * ”. Written jointly by D’Antona and Tagarelli themselves, the short, produced by Pietro Sportelli, sees the spontaneous participation of numerous citizens who fully share the message and wanted to say “I’ll put my face on it, I’m here”. Filming was done with the Puglia Region, the Puglia Region Equal Opportunities Commission, the Metropolitan City of Bari, the children of Truffaut Cooperativa Sociale, CSISE Onlus and the Sirio APS Project.
