James Cameron receives a Prize in Monaco and salutes “those who push their limits”
James Cameron is one of the greatest directors of his generation. He conquered the entire planet with the masterpiece Titanic, for which he won 11 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.
The film which revealed Leonardo DiCaprio remained for 11 years, the biggest success of the world box office.
In 2009, James Cameron will enter a little more history with Avatar. The science fiction film is made with futuristic technical means, entirely in relief. The movements of objects and living beings are virtually controlled by a computer. Once again, the success is phenomenal and generates 2.78 billion dollars in revenue.

On the occasion of the second edition of the Monaco Streaming Film Festival, James Cameron accepted to receive the “Reg Grundy Innovation Award”, rewarding his incredible career and his impact on the film industry.
The Canadian director personally apologized for not being able to travel to the Principality. He is currently working in New Zealand on the highly anticipated Avatar 2. It was therefore his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron, who came to collect the prize, but he still wanted to leave a video message for the ceremony.
“This award recognizes those who push their limits in all areas, such as creativity. I am therefore very honored to be awarded it.”
The 67-year-old director and producer will release his next film Avatar: The Way of the Water on December 14, 2022, and intends to mark the history of cinema again.
