Exactly ten years ago – on June 8, 2012 – at the National Stadium in Warsaw, the biggest sports event in the history of Poland was opened. The Pice Nona Euro 2012 European Championship, which was organized jointly with Ukraine, is about to begin. In the stand-alone arena built for this tournament, Polish footballers then faced the Greek national team and drew 1-1. The first goal for the Polish team was scored by Robert Lewandowski. Euro 2012 lasted over three weeks (until July 1). During this time, hundreds of thousands of fans from many countries pass through Warsaw. Football fans dressed in their outfits, with faces painted in national colors, had fun in the streets, at national stadiums where the tournament was played together, and at Defilad Square, where the championship matches were broadcast on large screens. Although the Polish team has already dropped out of the liquid group to move 0-1 with the Czech team, the joyful atmosphere of sports management continued until the last day of the competition won by the Spaniards.
