Legislative 2022 in Haute-Garonne: Mélenchon expected in Toulouse from June 14
The leader of rebellious France is expected in Toulouse on June 14 or 15 for a meeting in a room.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon is expected in Toulouse next week, June 14 or 15, to chair a public meeting. The third man in the presidential election must come on this occasion to support the rebellious candidates in the legislative elections, as he did in 2017. But it will not be on board a barge on the Canal du Midi. as he had done five years ago. According to officials of the New Union of the Popular Ecological and Social Left (Nupes), the leader of the Insoumis will lead a public meeting which will take place indoors, in a room in Toulouse.
Toulouse represents an important issue for France Insoumise where Jean-Luc Mélenchon came out on top in the first round of the presidential election with 36.9% of the vote. Among the candidates that Nupes presents in the department, La France insoumise hopes for the victory of Hadrien Clouet in the 1st constituency, Agathe Roby in the 3rd and François Piquemal in the 4th.
Manuel Bompard, MEP, is also in Toulouse this Tuesday, June 7 to support the candidates of Nupes. The Toulouse MEP will stand in the legislative elections in Marseille, in the constituency left vacant by Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
