Slovenian edtech startup Sanderland wants to speed up English learning
Start-up Edtech Sanderland has developed an innovative tool to help students improve their English language skills three times faster than traditional methods
LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA, 4 June 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ – Sanderland’s patented innovation – English pitch – based on the stimulation of neural mechanisms in the human brain that control the comprehension, production and acquisition of language.
Watching and listening to specially designed scenarios and then loudly repeating sentences allows you to quickly memorize the necessary frequently used phrases and new words in context. Practicing this in different ways develops verbal memory and the ability to easily reproduce language patterns. In the next stage, the student makes a Pitch – an oral presentation, which maximizes speaking skills and improves fluent and confident speaking of the language.
The product came in response to the needs of Ukrainian refugees to help them with a free solution that allows them to learn English quickly. Learning a language with most of the currently available programs, both offline and online courses, and even private courses, takes a considerable amount of time. Most of them are reduced to monotonous exercises and do not have the level of efficiency that most students would like. Thus, English Pitch was created with the aim of significantly reducing the time spent mastering the language.
The product was developed by ESL professors with more than 20 years of experience teaching English as a second language. Sanderland sees a great opportunity to extend the power of English to a global audience and is preparing to introduce similar courses for students of German, Spanish and French. The product is very scalable and can be used to teach any language.
The co-founders of Sanderland, educators who have become entrepreneurs, sisters Amy and Karine Brutijan, strive for a positive social impact by creating advanced learning tools that will make quality education more accessible and inclusive. They believe that excellent edtech can only be developed by educators and educators, those with expertise in the domain, who can identify student needs and design tools that increase engagement and improve learning effectiveness.
